Evening

"We know that many people will be asking for a program. This is an acquired habit, but in our opinion contrary to the principles of autopoïesis (Varela and Maturana) or self- organising (Erich Jantsch)."

- Charles van der Haegen, ZERI foundation -

The living university was, after reading the book, the most inspiring meetup of like minded people I ever experienced. It's amazing to meet all these entrepreneurs from all over the world, working on solving the big climate challenges our society faces

Not even entirely sure how to define it. The most amazing time of my life; the most important; the most fulfilling; the most inspiring?

Week planning

We set-up a range of opportunities focused on creating a dynamic system of value creation and learning. Flexibility is key: there's plenty of space and time to co-create new sessions and set up activities together with the organizing team and other core week-participants.

To The Dutch: this Living University will be  an open system!

This year's Living University is the first to be hosted in a city and will be the first to open its doors to interested, motivated organizations and individuals. You and yours are warmly  invited to interact with the Living University during a morning 'Deep Dive' session or a 'Dinner Jam' in the evening.

Impact and output

Although the program is open and will be organically co-developed, participant can expect to:

  1. Harvest applicable knowledge on the blue economy from front runners.

  2. Get inspired on how to implement blue thinking within your organization.

  3. Gain hands-on experience through interactive sessions.

  4. Connect to a global network of entrepreneurs, scientist, policy makers and investors.

  5. Get up-to-date about most current Blue Economy innovations and opportunities.

  6. Discover the additional value of the blue economy perspective to concepts like circular economy and sustainability.
